When is the next Municipal Election it was set for April 7, 2020?

See our Election Center for the press release the date has been postponed until June 2, 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns.  Also please see the Greene County Clerk's web page Shane Schoeller for more information regarding election information.

Are you still going to have the Easter Egg Hunt set for April 4th?  

The easter egg hunt has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.   More information to follow.

Is the Tree Give Away Cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns?

Yes it has been cancelled at this point more information to follow on future tree giveaways.

Any information on whether the City-Wide Garage Sale will be effected by COVID-19 concerns?

At this point it is still planned.  More information to follow on this future event please keep checking the City's website and Facebook pages please. 

How can I get more information on COVID-19?

Website: https://health.mo.gov/coronavirus/ or if you cannot access the internet call the 24 hour hotline at 1-877-435-8411 for more information.  

Is City Hall Lobby and Police Lobby Closed during COVID-19?

Both Lobbies are closed at this time and will be closed until May 1, 2020.  The Lobby will re-open on Monday May 4, 2020 at 8 a.m. with social distancing practices in place.  We also have the drop box, regular and online payment options available.  

How do I make payments for Sewer and Trash if Lobby is Closed?

You can make payments online, you may use Quick Pay with your account number at our website (battlefieldmo.gov) ,or you can use the black drop box near the flag pole at City Hall.  If you mail your payments allow 5 or more days before the payment is due (all payments due by 5th of the month).  At this time we are suspending late fees due to the  COVID-19 situation. 

How do I reach the Police Department?

Call 911 if it is an emergency.  If you want to speak to an officer please call 417-890-9876, leave a message and they will respond once the message is received.  Do not try to use Face Book Page for Police Department to reach them call them by phone.  

Will Meetings in Battlefield be cancelled due to COVID-19?

Based on the COVID-19 issue the meetings set for May are subject to cancellation please see the website and face book page for more information regarding any future meetings.  More inforamtion to follow.

How do I report problems for Sewer, Streets, etc., during COVID-19?

You may call 417.883.5840, and leave a message if it is during working hours.  If there is an emergency call 911.

How do I make other Payments to the City?

Payments can be taken over the phone and made by credit card for items like business licenses, building permits, sewer deposits, etc.   Please call 417.883.5840 during normal business hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.   There is an additional processing fee that will be charged. 

Can I still rent the Community Room or Pavillion for May or June 2020?

Both locations cannot be rented due to the COVID-19 issue at this time until May 1st all rentals have ceased. 

How do I find City Hall/Cherokee Trail of Tears Park?

Can I obtain copies of minutes or other public records?

Yes. A records request form can be submitted at City Hall. There are minimal fees charged, depending on the number of pages requested and the time required by staff to produce the documents.

How do I access the online City Ordinances?

To access the City Ordinances online, please see Municipal Ordinances under City Departments.

Are remodeling projects required to apply for a building permit?

Any project which alters the structure or adds to the structure of your property could require a permit. Building permit applications can be found in the Forms section. Fees may apply and are based on the project involved.

What animals must be registered with the City?

At this time, only dogs are to be registered, in order to keep a list for the City. This assists the City to help locate your animal, if lost. Owners are responsible for the actions of all their pets.

How do I apply for a business license?

Licenses are required for any business operating in the City. Completed applications and an annual fee of $16 should be filed at City Hall. After July 1st the fee is $8.00, call City Hall if you have questions.

How do I contact Republic Services?

How do I add Republic Services to my Sewer Bill? 

Go to Forms-Sewer Forms and you will find a form (Republic Services) trash and submit to City Hall via e-mail, fax or in person.  Please allow between 3 to 5 days to process.
