On February 22, 2024, the Battlefield Mo Police Department began using new technology referred to as electronic ticketing to document all traffic related contacts. The State of Missouri requires that all law enforcement agencies report information on all traffic stops. Electronic ticketing or e-ticketing makes the collection of that information easier and more accurate for officers. It also reduces the length of time drivers spend on a traffic stop, getting them back on their way in a more timely manner. E-ticketing does not require an officer to write a ticket or citation for violations. A warning is still an option for officers.
