NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Battlefield, at 6:30 p.m. on 19th day of March, at City Hall in Battlefield, Missouri concerning the matter of the proposed annexation by property owned by D’s Second Chance, LLC (Cleta Blackwell) located off S. State Highway FF (undeveloped land) at corner of Farm Road 178 and S. State Highway FF, Battlefield, MO 65619, into the City of Battlefield of the following described real estate in Greene County, Missouri, to-wit:

A TRACT OF LAND LYING IN PART OF THE SOUTH HALF (S1/2) OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER (SW ¼) OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER (SW ¼) OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 28 NORTH, RANGE 22 WEST OF THE 5TH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN IN GREENE COUNTY MISSOURI AND BEING MORE PARTICUALRY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE SOUTH HALF (S ½) OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER (SW ¼) OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER (SW ¼), THENCE SOUTH 01°55’ 46” WEST ALONG THE EAST LINE OF SAID SOUTH HALF (S ½) AND THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BATTLEFIELD, 360 FEET TO THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS; THENCE NORTH 82° 09’31” WEST ALONG THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS, 1305 FEET TO THE EAST RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY “FF” AND THE EAST RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY “FF” THE FOLLOWING THREE (3) COURSES: 1) NORTH 02°44’26” EAST, 29.51 FEET; 2) NORTH 07°01’47” EAST, 196.56 FEET; 3) ON A CURVE TO THE RIGHT SIAD CURVE HAVING A RADIUS OF 1095.92 FEET, AN ARC LENGTH OF 5.98 FEET, A CENTRAL ANGLE OF 00°18’46” AND A LONG CHORD OF 5.98 FEET WHICH BEARS NORTH 08°53’30” EAST TO THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS; THENCE LEAVING SAID EAST RIGHT OF WAY LINE AND ALONG THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS SOUTH 87°47’58” EAST, 1279.29 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, CONTAINING 381,550 SQUARE FEET (8.76 ACRES), ALL LYING IN GREENE COUNTY, MISSOURI.

At this Public Hearing any interested person, corporation or political subdivision may present evidence regarding the proposed annexation. Furthermore, any objections to the proposed annexation should be filed, in writing, with the Board of Aldermen of the City of Battlefield no later than 14 days after the date of the said Public Hearing.
