Springfield, Mo. — In response to the severe weather event that impacted Greene County on April 29, 2025, Greene County Assessor Brent Johnson has announced an extension of the 2025 Personal Property Assessment deadline to May 9, 2025.

“With the widespread damage and power outages experienced across the county, I have extended the deadline until May 9 to ensure property owners have the time and ability to file their assessments,” said Johnson.

Personal Property Assessment Lists are mailed in January and due by March 1. While assessments filed after March 1 are considered late, the late penalty is waived if received before May 1. However, due to the timing of the storm and its significant impact on homes, vehicles, and mail services, the Assessor granted the extension.

Important Notes:

• Assessment Lists submitted after May 9, 2025, will incur a late penalty.

• Online filing will not be available during the extension period.

• Blank assessment forms can be downloaded from the Assessor’s Office website.

o Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
