GREENE COUNTY, MO -- The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is pleased to announce that all outdoor warning sirens are fully operational following outages and damage sustained during the June 29th storms.

Sirens were successfully tested during the regularly scheduled monthly test at 10 AM this morning, confirming that all systems are functioning as intended. We thank Public Works for their diligence over the past few days to get the sirens back online. While the outdoor warning sirens are operational, OEM reminds residents that sirens are designed to alert people who are outdoors and should not be relied on as the sole source of warning.
