GREENE COUNTY, MO -- The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is reminding private nonprofit organizations (PNPs) in Greene County of the August 11, 2025 deadline to apply for low-interest federal disaster loans for physical damage caused by the April 29 severe storms, tornadoes, winds, and flooding. Eligible PNPs providing governmental-type services may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace real estate, equipment, and other disaster-damaged property. An additional 20% loan increase may be available for mitigation projects such as insulation, storm windows, and weatherproofing. Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) are also available to help cover operational costs like payroll and bills, regardless of physical damage. Interest rates are as low as 3.625%, with terms up to 30 years. No payments or interest are due for the first 12 months.
