West Walker Street will be shut down, between Westwood Drive and Ivey Lane, as construction crews from the Old Wire Road subdivision replace the lateral line of the sewer system that runs under that street. This project is scheduled to take place April 13th - 15th. A small detour will be in place during that period of time.

The first volunteer meeting will be held immediately after the next regular Parks Board meeting at City Hall at 6:30pm on April 9th, 2026. We will register volunteers (contact information and availability), evaluate potential garden sites in the park, and decide what and how much to plant.
If you cannot attend the meeting and want to stay informed, make sure to follow the Battlefield Parks Facebook page. Announcements regarding volunteer opportunities and garden updates will be posted there. We look forward to seeing you!
