The Advisory Parks Board would like to invite the public to attend an interest and information meeting to discuss the creation of a Battlefield Community Garden. At the Board's next regular meeting on Thursday, May 8th, at 6:30pm, we will be meeting at City Hall with representatives of Springfield Community Gardens, and we need your help. If you are interested in being involved in a community garden project, if you have experience gardening, or if you want to learn more, please come and let us know. There will be opportunities to share your thoughts and concerns, as well as ask questions to the Board or Springfield Community Gardens

UPDATE: The west doors of City Hall are now open for business again. The Utility Clerk will be at her regular window to receive your sewer payments, applications, and conduct City business. ATTENTION: There have been reports of caution tape being ripped down and children crossing those barriers to play on the Cherokee Trail Of Tears Park’s new playground equipment over the weekend. Please keep in mind that this is still an active construction zone. The crews have been working as fast as they can, given the snowy days in January & February, and the volatile windy days in March. Please have patience. Keep your children outside this area of construction until it is announced safe for them to enter.
